Affirmations!
Affirmations have been around for years. Some people swear by them. Some people say they don’t work. I’ll admit I’ve had mixed
results with affirmations myself.
Affirmations have long been considered a great way to change beliefs and create what you want in life. The problem with affirmations is that it’s tough to use them effectively. You either have to try to remember to repeat them over and over, or you have to make yourself write them
down in a journal, or you have to have your house covered with little notes containing your affirmations.
Visualization is also a great way to change beliefs and get what you want. When you
can see in your mind’s eye what you want, you can get it. You start to associate your focused
image with a belief, and your subconscious mind goes into action. Again, it’s tough to
remember to do this.
Relaxing brain wave sounds can also help focus the mind for motivation to get what you want. But many people aren’t in the position to take the time to listen to CDs that have those brain wave
sounds.
Because I know all this stuff works but I’ve never been able to put it together in a way that I could use consistently to get the
results I want, I was intrigued when I read about AffirmWare. AffirmWare Sculptor 3 is
an affirmation software.
Even though I have subliminal software on my computer, I still decided to give AffirmWare a
try. Face it—I’m a self help junky. If I think it
might improve the quality of my life or the life of someone I love, I try it.
Here’s what I think of AffirmWare Sculptor 3:
When I purchased the software and was taken to the download page, I was a little overwhelmed at first. The download instructions seemed a bit complicated. I was
used to right clicking and Save Target As. When I got fed up with the instructions, that’s
what I did, right clicked and then clicked Save Target As. The download worked
fine. The makers of AffirmWare made their download instructions more complicated than they
needed to be. Don’t let that put you off.
Once the software was downloaded, it was easy to install
it. When I opened it, I was immediately given the option of looking at a tutorial or printing a
quick start guide or printing a full manual. I printed the full manual.
Using the manual, I found it very easy to learn AffirmWare. I was up and running with
my affirmation in under 5 minutes.
The affirmation process is pretty slick. You can choose one of the program’s affirmations or create your own. I simply edited one of program’s affirmations.
After you choose your affirmation, you then choose a couple symbols that are your anchor symbols (so you have a visual aid to
remind you of your affirmation), and you activate the subliminal affirmations (that will flash constantly at the bottom of the program
while you use it so you’re seeing all the affirmations subconsciously). You can add as many of
your own affirmations to the list as you want. I like that feature.
Once you’re set up, you start the affirmation process. While a sound or music or a
tone plays, your affirmation appears on the screen. You type in a response to it (whatever you
happen to think when you see the affirmation—this is supposed to remove resistance to the affirmation). Then the affirmation appears again, and you respond again.
You do this 24 times in one session (you can set that to a lower number if you want, but that’s what they recommend—don’t worry, the
process isn’t as cumbersome as it sounds—it only takes a few minutes).
In just one session, I could see why the software is a good tool. Typing the
affirmation over and responding with whatever negative or hopeful reactions you have to the affirmation is VERY powerful. So, for example, you could create an affirmation that says, “I have all the motivation I need,” or “I am
motivated to get exactly what I want.” When you see this and respond to it 24 times, it’s
amazing how it imprints. Think of doing this every day for 12 days. That’s what you do. Then you move on to the next
affirmation. This is really potent stuff.
When your subconscious mind believes you can get what you want, you’ll take action to get it. You’ll begin doing exactly what you need to do to create what you want. And it will be effortless. That’s the kind of shift in my
actions that I’ve noticed in using this software.
Using affirmations in this way is fun, and it doesn’t take a lot of time—not like typing it and responding myself or doing it in a
notebook as I’ve tried to do before.
(By the way--don’t worry about needing to type fast or well. The program corrects
your typing for you.)
Software options allow you to put the affirmation in whatever color and font you like and make the background color whatever you
want. You can also change the audio sound from music to a brainwave sound. I chose theta because it helps creativity.
AffirmWare comes with an
easy to read e-book that helps you improve your self-esteem and your ability to manifest what you want, and it comes with information on how
to use something called the sentence completion process to remove old blocks. This is a powerful
process in and of itself.
I like how AffirmWare works except for a couple things. Once you activate one of the
software’s functions, the only way to get out of it to switch to another function is to exit the program and then open it
again. This is pretty fast, but it would be more convenient to be able to go from one thing to
the other in the program more easily.
The tutorial and manual could be a more simplified. Don’t let the length of these
freak you out. The software is much easier to use than the amount of material
suggests. It’s pretty intuitive software.
Overall, I’m very impressed with AffirmWare. I think it’s worth its price. Consider that it’s less than a
session of therapy, and you realize you have a good investment.
And unlike with therapy, AffirmWare has an 8 week
guarantee. If you don’t like it or it doesn’t help you, you can return it for a
refund. I have purchased and tried out dozens of self help tools, e-books, and other
programs. I have ended up returning WAY too many of them. I didn’t return AffirmWare. I use it as an adjunct to the
subliminal software that runs on my computer all the time.
If you think of subliminal software as pie, affirmation software is
the ice cream that goes with the pie. You don’t need the ice cream, but it makes the dessert
better.
I noticed a shift in thinking on some business motivational issues I
was dealing with after using the software just a couple weeks. I think AffirmWare is an excellent tool to have in your living unleashed arsenal
if you enjoy using affirmations.
