Baby
Boomers & Beyond
“Baby boomers” aren’t babies anymore. But if you were born between 1946 and 1964, in the eyes of the world, you’re one of 76 million baby
boomers.
In fact, you’re what marketers now call an “aging baby boomer.” Men and women in
suits sit around conference tables and rub their hands together with glee because they have so many ways they can convince us to part with
our money in exchange for anti aging and other products. Baby boomers have so many problems
that need to be solved.
We’re the over forty, over fifty, or over sixty people who are trying to figure out how to take care of elderly parents—parents
who used to complain because we wouldn’t listen and who now force us to complain because they don’t listen to us.
We’re the people who as we head for those proverbial “Golden Years,” we’re faced with raising our children’s children—wondering
how the glow of our youth has turned into the glow of our youth’s youth’s nightlight.
We’re the people who are desperately trying to stay healthy in the face of an epidemic of degenerative disease—diabetes, heart
disease, cancer, oh my. If only we’d eaten that apple a day…..
We’re the people who are determined to figure out how to look young in spite of the wrinkles that keep appearing because some
malevolent artist slips into our bedrooms at night to sketch lines on our skin—a particularly cruel joke given that we live in a society
that puts so much emphasis on appearance.
Some of baby boomers are perfectly happy—they have it all. But most baby boomers
aren’t where they want to be in their lives.
Many of us are still searching for something that gives us the fulfillment and contentment we’ve always wanted.
Many of us are choking on the ashes of our lives. If you’ve been disappointed by the
way your life has gone, you know about those ashes.
Do you have what you want from life yet? Do you have the high level of self
acceptance, health, wealth, and relationships you desire? No?
That’s okay. You can still get it.
Brain
Power
Brain power is a baby boomer’s most effective tool for change. And baby boomers have
a lot of brain power. Just look at what we’ve done.
Baby boomers are the heroes of the new millennium. We get things done.
Baby boomers stand for freedom and individuality. We stand for rights.
Our brain power is behind some of the most society-enhancing movements of our times:
civil rights, women’s rights, gay rights, handicapped rights, the right to privacy.
When we see a need, we use our brain power and then we ACT.
And now it’s time to act with more concentrated effort, more power,
than ever before.
It’s time for us baby boomers to demand that we, and every human being, get what we want. It’s time for us to demand our truest desires, our “wildest dreams.”
Individual freedoms and rights are terrific, but only if you use them
to create the lives you really want.
As long as you’re living a life that’s less than ideal, you’re living leashed. You’re
leashed to old problems, old habits, old expectations, old beliefs, old obligations. you must
demand to be unleashed from all of this old crud.
You must commit to creating only the best in the second half of your life. Stop
settling! Use the wisdom you’ve gained from the past to create
--A feeling of delight about who you are and what you can do
--Vibrant health and wellness
--Wealth that gives you the financial freedom you need to live life on your terms
--Fulfilling relationships with your family, friends, and business associates
The way to create this sort of unleashed, joyful life is to claim your power.
We are no longer baby boomers. And we must refuse to be called aging baby
boomers.
Instead, we must be BODACIOUS BOOMERS!

boomers.)
